Lost Time Bluegrass
September 2, 8:00pm
EOH celebrates regional artists with the seasoned bluegrass sound of LOST TIME, who have garnered multi-year nominations for best bluegrass for the Syracuse Area Music Award (SAMMY). The band’s musicians have been central to the bluegrass scene in upstate NY since the 70’s. The band’s lead writer and vocalist is Don Anderson on bass. Perry Cleaveland is Lost Time’s SAMMY Award winning mandolin player, who also adds vocals, fiddle and lead guitar. John Burton plays banjo, mandolin, and sings baritone. Ted Lambert is the newest member of Lost Time, but no stranger to the regional music scene. Ted, a talented multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, is a founding member of Creek Bend, who played EOH in 1997.

Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers ~ Blues
September 16, 8:00pm
Rod Piazza and his band, The Mighty Flyers, have a distinctive West Coast boogie-woogie style that has earned them a reputation as one of the best blues bands in the world today. Rod Piazza's stratospheric harmonica wailings have added to that reputation! West Coast Blues is more swinging than the down-home Delta Blues or the straight-ahead Chicago Blues sound. From his first recordings as a leader in 1967 fronting The Dirty Blues Band, through his multiple W.C. Handy award winning releases with his current band The Mighty Flyers, to his countless appearances both live and on record with the most revered names in the blues, Piazza has established himself as one of the most influential living blues harp players.
Old Blind Dogs ~traditional Scotch-Celtic
September 30, 8:00pm
Old Blind Dogs remain at the forefront of Scotland’s folk music root revival by updating traditional Scottish songs with modern arrangements, instrumentals and percussion. The result is an addicting mix of fiddle, pipes, guitar, percussion and vocals that are sure to entertain. In 2004, they were awarded Folk Band of the Year at the Scottish Trad Music Awards. Now five members strong, the band is known for their ever-original arrangements and talented instrumentals. The infectious rhythms and sing-along melodies are sure to provide for an evening of Scottish fun!
Jeffrey Gaines ~ Urban Folk
October 7, 8:00pm
Jeffrey Gaines, a Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter has been said to occupy a space somewhere between urban folk and pop. But regardless of genre he has created a loyal and growing following because of his talent. Rolling Stone magazine says Gaines “… takes his lyrical cues from English songwriters such as Elvis Costello, Ray Davies and Peter Gabriel. His songs fuse personal, introspective lyrics with shimmering pop/rock melodies …” But, it is his soulful, raspy voice that brings those lyrics to life, and his willingness to spend 150 nights a year on the road that has helped build a fan base. Still, it is Gaines’ own words and music that say the most about the man. When he does his own stuff his own way you “hear the emerging talent of Gaines as one of the better songwriters of our time,” according to Mike Farley writing in The Odeon.
