Fall for the Arts

The famed Glimmerglass Opera plays host to a family-friendly celebration of art, music and dance as sixteen Otsego County arts organizations combine creative forces to offer a truly unique cultural experience!
Fall for the Arts features music, dance and theatrical performances on the opera’s main stage; acting workshops and art classes in the set design studios; contra dancing on the deck overlooking Glimmerglass Lake; an exhibition of artwork by local artists; as well as demonstrations in sculpture, painting and other art forms.  Young people can dress up in opera costumes to be photographed, experiment with musical instruments and stage makeup, and take home “souvenirs” of art they create during this special day.  Food and beverages available. 
Admission is $10 adults; $7 students/seniors; $5 children 12 & under; $25 families.   Benefiting the Otsego County Arts Alliance

An evening of art, music, food and fun at six of downtown Oneonta’s finest galleries. Admission is free.

How can so much fun, excitement, creepiness and creativity take place under one roof?  Easy!  Hand over your old Victorian mansion to the demented souls of 100 crazy artists and watch them transform three stories of rooms, hallways, stairs and closets into a frightening, riotous, art-filled scare!  People are STILL talking about last year’s event – don’t miss this one.
Admission: $5 members; $6 general public. Benefiting the Arts Council.
